First day of SUMMER!

Today was so hot and sunny.

I had to get up early because I had left my stuff at my Mum's. I then went into work with my Dad. I started to reread one of my books, when I realised I was near town, Brighton, I fancied going out, it was such a nice day. I text some friends and only one person replied. I made plans to meet up with Vintagegirl, a really close friend from school.

However, we had a problem with the car and my Dad had disappeared, by the time he re-appeared, I had to change my plans because of him. I also realised I had to do something for my Mum, so I dropped off Mum's stuff, came back to Dad's work and went to meet up with Vintagegirl.

We met at the end of her street and walked down to the beach. It was so nice, I seriously needed a tan, my legs were practically white. After about an hour we grabbed an ice cream, and walked to the lanes. The lanes is a lovely place, the shops are lovely and most of them are really unique. Vintagegirl is looking for a job, she's been looking for about a year now, and surprisingly there were a few around, but most of them wanted experience, well no one is letting her get that experience, ugh people sometimes. Anyway we walked to the North lanes and then Vintagegirl showed this amazing shop Beyond Retro, it was well hidden, I'd been looking for it for ages, and failed. The shop was fantastic, I remembered some of the clothes, when they were in fashion when I was little, it was wonderful. If you were going to a fancy dress party, you'd probably find something in there too. There was something in there for almost anyone, well people who are into vintage clothing.

Anyway we walked back to the beach and to the Brighton Pier, we both really wanted a 99 flake. Has anyone realised that the whole point of it's name 99 flake is that it costs 99p, but no, the cheapest one was £1.50! Maybe they should change the name to 1.50. I remember when it was once called a Mr Whippy.

We decided to get a slush puppy instead and went back onto the beach. Vintagegirl laid under the sun whilst I got my book out, we talked about random things and then we had to go because she was meeting up with her Mum, and I had to get back to my Dad's work.

Now has anyone realised just how confusing buses are? I never get a number 5, 5a or 5b, and ended up getting on the right numbered bus but in the wrong direction, so had to quickly change buses and get on the right one. Luckily, I just got to Dad's at the right time, just. We picked up the monster and they dropped me off home whilst they went food shopping, I struggled with all the stuff and dumped it, yes step-mother I dumped it in the kitchen and quickly took my shoes off, my feet were sooo sore, I was so hot and I felt nasty, so I had the nicest shower ever. That was about 5pm and I couldn't be asked to get dressed so put on my pyjamas.

Was such a lovely day. Summer is here!
